How to make a spicy 'beriyani'
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons ghee (minyak sapi)
- 1 teaspoon aniseed
- 1 large onion (sliced)
- Basmathi rice 225gm ,washed and evaporated
- 1 tablespoon meat curry sauce
- 350ml hot water
- 4cm cinnamon
- 50gm raisins
- 8 cardamom seeds (crushed)
- ½ teaspoons turmeric powder
- 50gm almond slices
Cooking methods:
Heat ghee in a pan. Aniseed and fry onions until brown. Add rice and spices. Stir until smooth. Add the cinnamon, raisins, cardamom and turmeric powder. Cook on medium heat until the water dried.
Cover pan and low heat.
When the rice is cooked, served at the plate and sprinkle almond slices.
