Heart attack is certainly a disease dreaded by all groups. How to stay away from this disease? We do this by controlling food. Here are some foods that fit taken to reduce the risk of heart disease.


Fish

Fish up to 50% can reduce the risk of heart disease. In practice suggest that eating at least two servings of fish a week.

Apples

Apples can reduce the risk of heart disease up to 50%, if adopted 12aun apple juice or eating two apples a day. By doing this practice of eating apples can reduce the oxidation of cholesterol. There are studies done in the Netherlands, found that phytochemical content in apple fruit is to reduce deaths due to heart disease and stroke.










Walnut
Walnuts contain a type of fat known as Linolenic Acid. Linolenic acid works to reduce cholesterol and prevent blood clotting. That’s means, Walnut able to reduce the risk of heart disease up to 45%.

Olive oil

Olive oil has many nutrients, because of its unsaturated fat content of up to 77%.Therefore; olive oil can reduce cholesterol in the blood.

Legumes

Pulses are actually able to reduce the risk of heart disease up to 30%. This is because nuts contain content that can improve blood vessel function.

Oats

In Malaysia, not many people like to eat oats. But do you know, actually oats can reduce up to 29% risk of heart disease. Eat a cup of oats every day can reduce cholesterol levels in the blood.

How to make a spicy 'beriyani'


Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons ghee (minyak sapi)
  • 1 teaspoon aniseed 
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • Basmathi rice 225gm ,washed and evaporated
  • 1 tablespoon meat curry sauce
  • 350ml hot water
  • 4cm cinnamon
  • 50gm raisins
  • 8 cardamom seeds (crushed)
  •  ½  teaspoons turmeric powder
  • 50gm almond slices
Cooking methods:
Heat ghee in a pan. Aniseed and fry onions until brown. Add rice and spices. Stir until smooth. Add the cinnamon, raisins, cardamom and turmeric powder. Cook on medium heat until the water dried.
Cover pan and low heat.
When the rice is cooked, served at the plate and sprinkle almond slices.
